[/i] -- griffin recieved this ring when he was formally induced into the varia family. he took over the previous sun guardian position after the varia masacre that occured a few years ago. this ring also happens to be the only one that isn't related to mythology or legend or fantasy. fin wears this ring is worn on his left hand on the middle finger. the ring is designed with a shield facing the world and a sun etched into the darker almost tarnished looking silver. the band is slightly smaller than that of the vongola rings, and the shiled is both longer and straighter with fewer sharp ridges at the top. fin treasures this ring above the rest as it signifies his current place in society, and that means a lot to him.

fiamma drago -- this is fin's storm ring. this ring is pitch black with a silver dragon etched onto the band. a ruby sits happily between the dragon’s forepaws. the ring happens to rest on fin's thumb on his right hand. the ring is part of the fiamma series of which three are currently known. the other two rings are under the possession of other mafia members that fin hasn't had the pleasure of meeting. this ring isn't used often by the sun guardian as destruction is the exact opposite of what fin's main flame advocates. fin adores this ring just like all the rest though.

rottura sierna -- this is the last thing that fin received from his cousin. thus this ring holds a special place in fin’s heart, and it is also his rain ring. this ring like fin’s storm ring is pitch black with a silver mermaid etched into the band. this ring is worn on fin’s right hand pointer finger, and a sapphire gleams happily up from its place next to the mermaid’s raised left hand. this is currently the only known rottura ring around, but fin suspects that there are others out there. fin is happy with his ring though, and he isn't actively searching for the possible other ones. plus that would be slandering his cousin's memory.

coda grifone -- this ring is a tad-bit backwards. tt like fin’s other rings is black with something silver etched onto it. the etching isn’t usually seen since for the most part only the tail faces upward with an emerald glittering prettily right beside it, and the etching on this ring is of an attacking griffin. fin was fortunate enough to find this on one of his early varia missions. it has since then had a place on fin’s right hand ring finger. this ring holds a special place in fin's heart as the image matches his first name, and he has always seen griffins as mighty figures in legends. this ring is also the boy's lightning ring.

ala spirito -- fin found it while gathering intelligence on one of his earlier varia missions. this is one of the few rings that fin owns that happens to come in two parts. this ring like the rest is pitch black, but it has multiple silver ghosts etched onto it… well the main part of the ring does. the main ring is worn on his right hand middle finger and has an onyx nestled in the open mouth of one of the ghost etchings. the other part of the ring is worn on his pinky finger and has a silver pixie etched onto it. this ring is connected to the main part by a silver chain that is attached to a metal band around fin’s right wrist. fin still doesn’t know exactly what this ring does, but he adores it nonetheless. this is also surprisingly the boy's cloud ring and not his mist ring.

occhio basilisco -- fin has only had this ring in his possession for a few months now. his latest assassination victim had worn this ring, and the lapis lazuli attached to the black band had caught the boy's eye. most of his rings have a black-and-silver theme after all, and the ring seemed to go right along with that theme. fin took the ring after his mission was over, and he hasn't regreted that decision. this ring has a basilisk with its stone-turning eyes etched onto it. the lapis lazuli rests between the coils of the large serpent which has its head hovering to the left of the coils. the entire ring has silver lines as the snake is etched onto almost every avaliable surface. this ring is split into two pieces. the above description is of the main ring which fin wears on his left hand ring finger. a smaller, thicker silver band with a black fang etched onto it is worn on his pinkie finger. the two rings aren't connected by anything, but the resemblence between the two is quite obvious.[/ul]
ANIMAL.

[/i] -- griffin’s box animal is a rabbit known as luce. luce normally stands about a foot tall with pure white fur covered by golden armor. fin has been working with luce though, and luce will grow to be about four feet tall and standing on two feet if feed some of fin’s sun flames. luce is only for support purposes though. this animal isn’t for attacking or defending. luce is known for the its golden shoulder bag which releases different things. Tthose things can be anything from a concentrated beam of sun flames to an actual first aid kit. luce is the doctor of the varia even though fin has no real medical knowledge. luce also has other forms, but those will be discussed with the up-grade box. the normal luce is the medical bunny.[/ul]
WEAPONS.

[/i] -- spina blu, or blue thorn, is griffin’s main weapon. the box it comes in is really just used as a storage device, and in can open the box with any of his five rings. within the box is fin’s quarterstaff. this quarterstaff stands at six feet tall and is a dark blue color. fin even took the liberty of painting vines with thorns on them all around the staff. fin’s staff really isn’t affected by his flames. he tends to use it without the flames, but he can coat it with them whenever he likes. the type of flames that coat the staff usually depends on which ring fin used to open the box. the staff doesn’t really have different abilities though. it is basically just a staff that fin uses for fighting purposes and nothing else.

capo della spina -- the capo della spina Box is one that fin had specially designed to up-grade luce. he understands the need for support on the field, but he also knows that sometimes offensive strength is also needed. this box is still in a development stage and doesn’t last long. this box alters luce from a purely support-type animal to an offensive-type animal. this box can only be opened by fin’s sun flames, and it causes physical changes to luce. luce will go from being a foot tall to being six feet tall with razor sharp claws and dagger-like teeth. the rabbit’s fur goes from white to a dark navy blue, and the armor spreads to cover more of the rabbit’s body. the bag that Luce always has is transformed into a hammer, and the little bunny can pack a good bit of damage into one blow. this box will only last for four posts though, and after use luce is always returned to its box.

sistem rosa -- the sistema rosa is a chain of boxes that were created with gokudera hayato’s sistema cai in mind. the box can be opened with any of in’s six rings, but the attack styles open to him are limited based upon the ring used. the system is made up of six boxes that change opening sequences based on which ring fin decides to use. there are six systems in all, and they all follow a specific theme that revolves around the abilities associated with each flame type. fin had mastered all but the last two sistemas. as mentioned, there are six sistema, and these sistema are named after the flame type that fin uses to access them. the six sistemas are sereno sistema, tempesta sistema, pioggia sistema, fulmine sistema, nuvola sistema, and nebbia sistema; and the six sistemas follow different attack patterns support, close combat, defense, ranged attacks, mass production assaults, and illusions. the six attack patterns call for different equipment, so the items held within the six boxes alternate for each system, but the weapon or ability contained within the box generally follows along the line of the image etched onto the box. the boxes follow along the line of fin’s five fantasy rings with an elf added in for the sereno box. aside from the representative etchings, silver vines with leaves and thorns also sprawl across the black boxes. fin himself will reveal more about each sistema in his journal at a later date.[/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

[/i] -- griffin was often confined into a cell-like basement for a good portion of his childhood. he spent two solid years locked away, and he still hasn’t gotten over it. in truth, he can’t remember much about his time in confinement, but he can vividly remember the emotions that had bombarded him while he was locked away. those intense emotions still haunt his nightmares of that time. fin has actually developed a habit of flinching at anything that deals directly with confinement whether it be a place or word. fin’s fear of being locked away isn’t as irrational as it might seem. his fear steams from past experiences, and most irrational fears comes from something that occurred once before. fin doesn’t want to face those emotions again or the long hours of doing nothing but wasting away. fin only managed to survive being confined for his twin and the family members that care about him.

loosing -- fin doesn’t fear loosing in the race of life or anything like that. he fears loosing the people and things that he holds close to his heart. one of these people is his twin sister, ginger. she has been in a hospital since the accident when they were eleven, and he would do anything to keep her safe. he would hate to lose her or anything connected to her or any of his remaining family members. he could careless about nicholas, but he cares deeply for every member in his family. fin also cares deeply for the other members of the varia, and he would hate to lose their respect, trust, and family “love.” he holds everything he receives from the varia in high esteem, and he keeps his fears and secrets hidden like a good sun guardian. he just doesn’t want to lose anything really. he fears it terribly.

forgetting -- fin doesn’t know why he fears forgetting. there are things in his past that he would be better off forgetting, but he doesn’t want to. he wants to keep in touch with all parts of his history, and he often desperately tries to remember what happened in the earliest years, months, days, hours, and minutes of his life. he hates forgetting any little thing, and he fears forgetting the big things. amnesia has always been fin’s greatest nightmare, and he still constantly has dreams of everything disappearing slowly from his memory. plus for a few long months, fin was lead to believe that ginger would not remember anything. luckily she remembered almost everything, but a deep fear was instilled within him then. he can’t shake off that fear, and he often spends a few hours reminiscing when his head isn’t up in the clouds. ignorance isn’t bliss after all, and for fin, forgetting is just like slipping back into a state of ignorance.[/ul]
DREAMS.

[/i] -- griffin never really wanted to be involved in the varia. he worked as an assassin-for-hire before working with the varia, but he wants to do his best every day for his new “family” now. he would hate to let them down, and he treats all of them like he does ginger. his new dream is to keep the varia on top and complete his missions in the best way possible. he wants to keep moving forward, and he wants to keep everyone with him. he would hate to lose anyone, and he dreams of the varia being the perfect “family” unit. he knows it isn’t his place to dream of this, but he does. his nightmares are often overshadowed by his dream of seeing the varia as a family. he can’t count the nights when this thought saved him from loosing his mind. fin thinks this dream is the best that it can be, and he wants to see it accomplished no matter what he has to do. he would gladly give his life for this, but he doesn’t want to see anyone else die.

flowers -- fin’s other dream is to create a flower museum. people don’t appreciate the beauty of flowers enough in fin’s opinion, and he wants to show the world why they are such pretty yet delicate things. he knows that he can’t go back in time and find ancient flowers, but he wants to build a huge museum playing host to images of all kinds of flowers. he thinks it would be highly educational, and it doesn’t have to be flowers. it could be any type of plant. the museum wouldn’t be like a regular museum though. it would also be an area where plants could grow without worry. the museum attendants would help care for a vast garden that is split into different areas based on what part of the world the plants are from. there would even be a few greenhouses located in the garden for those harder to grow plants. fin wants to see this dream come true not only for educational purposes, but he also wants it to keep the world from loosing all its vegetation.[/ul]
